Anna and Doug are probably the most laid back couple I've ever photographed. They booked me just a few weeks before their wedding at a private home in Ft. Lauderdale, and originally planned to wed on the beach at sunset. But Anna fell in love with the charm of Parrot Hall the morning of, and made a last minute decision to get married right there on the front steps.
Parrot Hall's 8 bedrooms and artsy decor made the perfect setting for Anna and Doug's closest friends and family to get ready...
Ok new rule: All family formals must have a wrinkly chubby liddul puppy dog. Sigh.
After a few portraits, we headed to S3, Sun Surf, Sand, where Doug is a manager for a private cocktail hour facing the beach. Little did Anna know that Doug had been planning a surprise...
Doug had arranged for a guitarist to hide out at the bar and come out shortly after the toast to serenade the couple for their first dance.
All together now, "AWWWWWWWW".
After a couple cocktails, we went back to Parrot Hall where a beautiful dinner table was set up by the pool.
A chef was busy whipping up crab cakes and macaroni n cheese in the kitchen... and I'm STILL bummed for not being able to sneak a bite.
Wishing you two a lifetime of surprises and mac n cheese (because isn't that what life's all about?!) Thanks for choosing me to photograph your day!
