Being a South Florida wedding photographer means you're also a professional meteorologist. I could probably get a part-time job predicting the weather any given Saturday. With three umbrellas in tow, I met Jena and her girls at the Omphoy Beach Resort in Palm Beach...
We were running just a few minutes behind, so I went ahead to the church and met with Chris and his groomsmen. Jena would be getting into her dress at the church, so we had a few minutes for portraits while we waited...
With the finishing touches applied, and a light drizzle on the lawn, Jena and Chris had their first look amongst the puddles but safely under cover... and we were gifted with beautiful soft light.
I love how Chris wiped away her tears during the ceremony. Sigh.
Fighting the threat of more rain on the way to the Lake Worth Casino, we had time for a few photos with the wedding party...
So much awesome going on in this photo below I can't stand it.
Usually while editing reception photos, I can tell what song was playing just by looking at the photos - ladies and gentlemen, "Don't Stop Believin'"
...Also, color-changing uplights are my new favorite thing for the party. Brides, PLEASE look into upgrading your lighting package when planning your reception. SUCH a difference!
Congratulations Jena and Chris! Thank you so much for having me along for your special day - can't wait to see what the future holds for you two!
