I don't even know where to begin with Kasia and Chris. At their engagement session, as soon as I got out of the car, Chris reached in his pocket and offered me a strawberry Mentos. It was literally "hi, want one?" Uh, yes.
And then days before the wedding during our timeline talk, Kasia kept saying "I want you to have a good time. You're our friend. I want you to feel like we're friends." And my obsession with them grew...
But I was pushed over the edge when I saw Kasia's green Jimmy Choos and ankle-length short-sleeved gown. (She bought the shoes first, obvi!) Her infectious smile lit up their suite at the Hilton the morning of her wedding day.
Kasia and Chris actually got ready in the same suite. And I kinda love that. It's like an extended first look!
We spilled out of the limo upon arriving at the beachside park and friends and family scrambled to set up the ceremony space while Kasia arrived in a separate car with her dad. The officiant asked guests to come in close so they could hear him over the wind and waves. A handful of tourists in their bathing suits watched from the beach. And right there, in front of their closest family and friends, in the brightest Florida October sun, Kasia and Chris exchanged vows. Pop-up wedding at the park, you guys!
After the ceremony and a stolen kiss or two in the limo, we headed to Capital Grille for an intimate dinner and toasts. Ok, and a shot of vodka.
Back at the hotel suite, the reception continued with more toasts and an amazing dessert spread. The view wasn't so bad, either.
With the winds gusting outside, Kasia and I decided the hotel's hallway would be perfect for the bouquet toss... we also decided the hallway would not work for the sparkler shots.
Kasia and Chris, THANK YOU for choosing me to photograph your perfect, sweet wedding day!
