Pretty sure I made Frankie and Andrea pinkie-promise me that we would NOT step outside during their mid-summer August wedding at the Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale. After all, it’s the hottest year on record, and South Florida in August is just LAWD IT’S HOT. They assured me that yes, we’ll stay in that sweet sweet AC all day, which was great because the Bahia Mar is beautifully lit on the inside.
But when you have close to 200 guests – from New York – things can get a littttttle…. crowded.(And rightfully so! We’re talking about their favorite people just wanting to love on them! With two videographers, two photographers and a bride & groom, we had to compromise on space.
Oh. And it was raining.
We found a sweet area outside that was covered from the rain, and a bit more private than the main lobby and staircase, and led Andrea to Frankie. Which led to Frankie losing.his.mind when he saw her.
And after all that shhhh I talked about staying inside – guess who dragged them back outside for some post-ceremony shots dancing in the Bahia Mar parking lot?
Frankie and I go back almost a decade (whoa!) when we both worked at a local sports-bar-that-shall-remain-nameless, and I can honestly say it was magical to see how completely, utterly, head over heels in love he is with Andrea. These two are the absolute sweetest together.
Sweet as honey.
